Woah, woah, woah, don’t worry your little head, The Fashion Diaries isn’t saying goodbye to you lot, it’s just saying goodbye to Tumblr! After having a few problems with images and layout and just general rubbishy things, I decided to switch to Blogger.
To be honest, I think it’ll be a lot easier for people to follow me on there, and it’ll be easier for me to post and play around with the layout without everything going wrong.
There’s been a SLIGHT adjustement to the URL, its the-fashiondiaries as opposed to the-fashion-diaries. Just one dash missing. Here’s the link: http://the-fashiondiaries.blogspot.com/ and I have a new Style Stealer post up featuring Olivia Palermo, so head over there now and get your read on, follow me on bloglovin’ and all of that other Blogger jazz! See you on the dark side…

Frankie Sandford from girl group The Saturday’s is always flaunting her fabulous wardrobe at any given chance. Whether she’s out on the town or shopping in Central London, this girl has got some serious style. I chose three of my favourite Frankie outfits and scoured the high street stores to find similar items for you to steal her style:

This first outfit is very casual. Frankie’s gone for the simple “jeans and tee” look, but funked it up by making the jeans an on-trend camel colour. The colours go great against her tanned skin and gorgeous brown locks. If you’re a red head, or just aren’t feeling the camel colour, go for something else a bit different: perhaps a red skinny jean with black wedge shoes.
The second oufit is my ultimate favourite. Red is such a great colour on her, and it can suit pretty much everybody, from dark skinned to the really pale. This Miss Guided dress (as seen in last post) is pretty much identical to Frankie’s. Worn with these gorgeous black suede look heels from ASOS and a skinny black belt from Dorothy Perkins will help recreate Frankie’s 70s look.
Finally, I’ve gone for a printed dress. As Frankie wears hers off her shoulder, I’ve gone for a Miso one-shoulder playsuit from Republic. This is just £5, reduced from £25 and is great quality for money. Teamed up with a tan belt and wedges and bronzed skin will give you that ‘safari’ look that’s so hot this SS’11.

Miss Guided are really proving to be something special lately. They always seem to have the most lusted-after item in stock, and are always my pick of the pack when it comes to affordable online stores. I’ve chosen a selection of clothes and accessories from the Miss Guided store that I think everyone should own at least one of in their wardrobe this summer.
When it comes to patterns, florals and aztec’s are going to be BIG, so the palazzo pants or the playsuit will keep you looking on trend. If you’re off on a beach holiday, then the feather print maxi dress will look great with big sunnies and a large floppy hat! Scallop edges are also going to be a huge trend - they’ve been spotted in store in the likes of Topshop and Dorothy Perkins, but naturally, they’re not as affordable as MG. This white scallop edge vest top is just £7.99 - a refreshing change from the £16 Topshop ones.

Wear your scallop vest with the Natalie cord turn up shorts in rust red (an item I’ve been lusting over for far too long now) and pair with either the Blondelle suede effect ankle boots or a pair of black gladiator sandals and ‘Jenner’ fringed bag for day time.
Red is one of my favourite colours - it’s brilliant for a classic burst of colour, be it a red lip, red dress or red bag. My must have red items are this gorgeous tailored pleat dress (as seen on Frankie from The Saturday’s), the skinny fit jeans, and the to-die-for red ‘Mulberry’ style bag that every girl must own as the perfect piece of arm candy.

Gok Wan is one of my favourite television presenters. He has a way of connecting with the audience on such a personal level that he can gain their trust within days. On ‘How To Look Good Naked’ and ‘Fashion Fix’ we see these women put all of their faith in Gok to completely transform their image - and appearance is a very precious thing to place into someone’s hands.
Not only does he give them a great makeover, he gives them the biggest confidence boost of their lives, ultimately transforming them into a person who can live life to the full.
When Gok announced on Twitter that he would be making a new TV show to help young people with confidence issues, I knew immediately I had to blog about it. Time and time again, I’ll get emails and anonymous questions asking me to style someone to help them feel more confident. Now, I’m no Gok Wan, but it’s a big deal when someone puts trust in me like that, and I feel honoured to help impact somebody’s life in such a huge way.
It would be naïve to think that having a great fashion sense can make you a confident and happier person, but looking and feeling great can have a huge impact on your mood.
I’m blogging about this to give a heads up to any teens or young adults out there who are fed up of living in a shadow, or want to get out of the confidence rut they’re stuck in.

I know I haven’t done one of these posts in a while - believe me, I imss doing them - but the lighting in my room at uni is absolutely awful. I will try and do more though, I promise (and I know I always say that, but this time I will actually try!)
So this is what I wore to The LOOK Show! Thought I’d go for bright colours and clashing prints, as it was a SS’11 show after all!
Blazer - £14.99 - H&M
Animal print vest blouse - £9.99 - H&M
Aztec print skirt - £9.99 - H&M
Bag - £8 - Primark
‘LITA’ style boots - £50 - Topshop

Getting to attend The LOOK Show last year was definitely one of my blogging highlights, so you can imagine my excitement when my friend Cally called to say she’d won tickets to this year and wanted to take me as her +1!
Like last year, I had the “What Am I Going To Wear?” panic attack and went on an expedition around Highcross shopping mall in Leicester. Within the first store, I’d found my dream outfit. A blush coloured blazer, with an animal print vest top and an aztec print skirt. Clashing prints and bright colours is a bit risky, but what the heck, it’s Fashion Week! My outfit totaled to £35, which is an absolute bargain compared to last year, and I wore my trusty Topshop ‘JC LITA’ style boots to top it off.
The show was held at Victoria House, Bloomsbury Square, which is a part of London I’d never actually visited before. The venue was much bigger than last time, and it seemed there were a lot more guests too. Like last year, New Look had their cute little photobooth on stand ready for guests to pose for the cameras. There was also a chocolate fountain (yum yum yum!), some amazing guys from John Galliano squirting guests with perfume as if it were a child with a water pistol, and let’s not forget the Mojito’s!
4pm and it’s off to the catwalk. The only part of the show that let me down a little was the fact that Cally didn’t have a seat. I let her sit in mine, and I stood up with the press, which allowed me to get much better photographs so I can’t complain! Marina Diamandis, Jaime Winstone and fashion Goddess Olivia Palermo were among the guests on the ‘frow’, all of which were really sweet (despite what you’ve heard about Palermo, she smiled sweetly for the cameras and chatted along happily like nothing phased her… she also came to the show wearing H&M, and looked absolutely fabulous, of course!)
My favourite collection came from Dorothy Perkins. They really surprised me, and in my opinion pulled out all the stops with their bright colours, scallop edges and defined waists. You can check out the other looks from the catwalk and also purchase the items by clicking HERE.
A lovely live performance from Alexis Jordan as an interval, and Sunday Girl and Wonderland performing on stage after were definitely treats to the ears. Sunday Girl was one of the best dressed guests in my opinion, she looked fabulous!

When an invitation to the opening of the re-vamped Accessorize flag ship store popped up in my hotmail inbox last week, how could I resist? I’m a sucker for a good accessory - what girl isn’t - and for me, Accessorize are the pick of the pack. So, a 4am wake up and 3-hour coach journey later, I was prepared to walk the ‘pink’ carpet to see what was in store. Nothing could have prepared me for what my eyes were about to witness. Three whole floors of gorgeousness, and I’m not just talking about the items… the decor is to die for, and has left me with a sudden urge to cover my mirror frame in old jewellery and write words along the staircase.
After greeting the lovely Accessorize ladies and sipping a smoothie from the dapper looking waiters, I treated myself to £50 worth of goodies. It was pretty hard to choose from - three floors of eye-catching jewellery, pretty little purses and clutches, and an entire floor dedicated to beach wear - but I got there in the end.
Bright blue’s and emerald green’s were hot on the rails, particularly in jewellery. My biggest regret is not buying the gorgeous boho-style bracelet I spotted (bottom left), but I will be sure to pester the staff at my local store until I can call it mine. Beach wear definitely didn’t disappoint - bright florals, floaty materials and huge hats and sunnies are just the way it should be! And to top it all off, there are bags and purses for every occasion, be it a patent clutch for night time or a beaded drawstring bag for the beach.
